Grace Destitute Old Aged Home:

It is tragedy to know that there are millions  of people suffering and spending painful life when they get old. Some cases such a destitute aged people receive Rs.60/- per month, which is $1.5 cents (1 pound / 1.5 Euro). This help is hardly sufficient for one day maintenance of a aged person. Some parents looked after by their own children when they get old. But in many cases when their own children  neglect them and some cases when parents have no children that is the painful condition of old people. There also cases who never married, then when they get old they have to spent very painful life with starvation.

Oh! my goodness! where is the aged home?

You could see thousands of destitute aged people in every city of India, just begging and sleeping beside the road and in dump places and suffering like any thing before they die.

We are happy in the Aged Home. Will you please send piece of  bread?

Since our is a well known mission society we have daily visitors like that coming with tears and explaining their situation and requesting us at least to us to give them bole of rice, glass of water and a small place for them to stay with us.  When we see people like this on regular basis we felt the great need to establish a destitute aged home for such a people.

By the Grace of the Lord in the out skits of the famous city  called Bhadrachalam we have got one acre land to put up a destitute old aged home. We have raised some local contribution and by the contribution of Radio Crackers we finished this building and inaugurated it on 07th December 2004, in the presence of Government higher officials ITDA Project Officer of Bhadrachalam. On the first day it self 21 people joined in this home. Presently we are having 24 destitute old aged people in this home as on 1st feb 2006  and spending happy life. There are 3 people like warden, cook and Nurse looking  after these people around the clock. 

How can you help ?

This home is purely run by the contributions of local people, and many times we are struggling like any thing to maintain each and every day. Therefore your valuable contributions are requested to continue this home and even to take more such a aged people into this home. 

What would be the monthly expenditure?

We are not looking for luxury maintenance but we need basic needs. Such as food, Medicine, Electrical bills to be paid and 3 people voluntarily working for honorarium.  We would maintain this home with present number 24 at the cost of Rs. 1000/- for head 24 x Rs. 1000 = Rs. 24,000/- ($ 558/ 275 pounds/550 Euro) per month.  We adjust even the electrical bill and honorariums with in this price.
