Leper's Care :

Oh! Friends, I travel like this

who can clean my painful wounds

There are 4.5 million lepers in India living in 50,000 leper colonies. They are just living by begging and surviving life with pain. When a person became leper, it is quite difficult to stay in the family as all family gives hard time in most cases. Due to these reasons all individual lepers live together in a area and in Isolated places, in some occasions they live out of the city. Most cases people don’t like them nor touch them. In the year 1997 when pastor Jacob, first went to the leper colony at place called Khammam, his heart moved with compassion and his eyes filed with tears.  He took them into his hands and he loved them from his heart. But his dear pastor said Jacob! You should not touch them nor go close to them. These words never stopped this man of God. He went around to sake hand them. By seeing this man of God, lepers they impressed and they explained their difficulties with tears. From that day GTSSS work began among leper colonies.  At the moment we are working in 7 leper colonies.  After we began to visit them and help them with food, medical help, blankets etc., they recognized genuine love of our mission and most of them received Jesus into their heart.

Blankets Distribution to Lepers.

Rice Distribution to Lepers.

Due to the lack of resources, we are unable to feed them on regular basis but, we are visiting very often and providing good meal, medication and clothes. Recently, when we visited two leper colonies at Kothagudem and at Khammam  the old lepers said that they are not in the position to go for begging so they requested us with tears to provide them at least one bole of rice with curry once in a day.  So that they can not starve before they die.  We are trying our level best to cater their minimum needs.

We are old Lepers, who will give us bole of rice, glass of water, piece of clothe.

How can you help them?

(1)      Rs. 24,000/ $ 558  (342 pounds / 479 Euro) we can provide one meal in a day for 50 old lepers in a leper colony per month.
