www.gtsss.org/Orissa_2010.htm

I praise God for the privilege of writing you this brief information. Thank you so much for your prayers for Orissa program and for Annual Convention and 16th Bible College students Graduation Service. Many people calling and sending mails asking about Orissa report and Annual Convention. From 15th February until 6th March 2010, me and my team fully occupied of busy schedules almost day and night. During these days many times far away from Internet. Some people called me on my mobile and asked me if I am still alive because there is no information from me from Orissa and from the Convention. Praise God, still we alive and serving the Lord.

Regarding Orissa Report, I could write hundred pages report, but many people advised me just cut down into one paper which is very difficult thing for my few words English knowledge to do so, yet I try my best to put it in short. You are most welcome to pass this information to your friends and believers. Our Intensive traveling from 15th to 21st February 2010, in Orissa among persecuted believers was great blessing. It was very tough, restless and several times lived under fear of attacks from anti-Christians. During these days our medical team with two doctors and other leaders and some Orissa leaders we made up team as 16 people. We did not see the time, but traveling day and night, visiting refugee camps, villages meeting people was our main focus. We slept less than three hours in each day during these days. Many times slept in the interior villages just among the persecuted believers where there is no bed, electricity,

running water and nothing but a mat on the mud floor including our medical doctors. Totally we laid our lives to feet of Jesus. During the night times when we were in the Tribal Jungle villages, whole night we could listen sounds of people shouting from the Jungle. These Tribal people whole night sacrificing, drinking and dancing around spirits. You could feel strong hold of satanic powers.

What we did to the persecuted believers and missionaries?

Every refugee camp and every village we visited among persecuted believers in Orissa, we prayed with them and encouraged them by the God’s word. At the same time we asked their leaders about their current situation and took report from them. Every place we been, situation seems much same from our last visit. But some places believers who came back to their villages re-building their destroyed home by the help of Charity Organizations and some places by Government help. Yet many village still have no help. Every place we been people cried and said how they are suffering because they do not have food, no work, no house. Once they had their homes, their lands, goats, animals, chicken and etc.,.. but now nothing but a broken plastic tent. There is no more government security around their camps. Authorities asking them to go back to their villages to start new lives. Some people already left camps and went back to their destroyed village and started new lives from nothing. They says government is giving them Rs. 20,000/- for partial damage, Rs. 50,000/- for total damage of their homes. In fact this amount not sufficient to finish at least half of the work of their homes. Some people did not start because they can not finish the work by this amount. However many believers homes burn down, but there is no record in the Government. At the same time this Government support is not reached to every place except some places.

Second thing, some people still living in the camps under broken tents without any hope from the Government. Now there is no police protection around them. Government says you have to go back to your villages from the camps then only we can help you little bit. Other hand Anti-Christians says you can come back to your villages if you can accept Hindu faith. So Due to fear of death people some places could not able to go back to their villages. Villages such as Hattapada, Gaddaguda and so forth.  Every place we been my heart was broken by seeing the condition of dear believers in Christ. Every place we visited I have washed feet of dear ones whose wives or husbands were murdered because of their faith in Christ. I also deeply touched by seeing widows with children whose husbands killed in front of their eyes. Many places there is a need of water wells, need of re-building churches, need of building homes for believers and creating opportunities to get some self-help projects.

During our trip in Orissa, we have organize free Medical Camps, distributed Blankets, distributed Bibles, distributed Bicycles, distributed Sarees and encouraged believers.

Total number of villages visited                          :        42
Total number of camps visited                           :        13
Total number of people received Medical Aid     :      510
Total number of blankets distributed                  :        1000
Total Number of Bicycles distributed                   :        20
Total Number of Bibles distributed                      :        600
Total Number of Sarees distributed                    :        400

What are we doing currently for the persecuted believers?

  1. Distributing Humaniterian help such as Rice, Blankets, Bibles, Bicycles, Cooking vessels.
  2. Last year we have started two orphanages in two places for the children whose parents were killed at the time of persecution.
  3. Supporting 15 Persecuted Native Missionaries.
  4. Teaching classes organize for the youth and for missionaries.

Our Future Plans:

  1. To start few more orphanages.
  2. To Support persecuted Native Missionaries.
  3. To adopt at least few villages to build village churches, homes and water wells.

What I want to say to world wide Christians?
You may not personally come and visit this people where there is no safety. But we love Jesus and His people. As we are working among these persecuted believers there are so many possibilities how world wide churches, friends and believers can involve.

  1. Supporting persecuted believers on monthly basis.
  2. Supporting Orphan children.
  3. Adopting Persecuted villages and building homes, church and a water well. Any church, organization or Association can adopt one of the villages to re-build and to give life to people. When you adopt a village there are major three things that we need to build.
  4. Homes
  5. Church
  6. Water well
  7. Any self Help Project

Note: This kind of help can re-build their lives from the damage that they faced before. Please pray about these things and see how the Lord will allow you to become a prayer partner. I have a plan how to establish these kind of needs. If some body needed details, I am more than happy to give details of one village or some villages so that you can pray and see how the Lord will allow you to help them. But things will not happen like other places in India because this is totally backward area, there is no proper transport and everything will move slowly.

However my heart goes for these dear ones, to support more missionaries and to start more orphans, provide more bicycles to many missionaries. You may not come in person to these places, but please pray for them and see how Lord will allows you to stand with suffering believers.

Thank you so much for your prayers and for encouragements.

Thank you and God bless you,
Your Brother in the Master’s work
