ABOUT US

Bishop Jacob prayerfully realized that it was not possible for him to do the large work that God had called him to do alone.  So, he shared his heart with a group of like-minded pastors who united with him under his leadership. Together, they established the mission called Gospel For Tribals Social Service Society (GTSSS) and registered it on December 26, 1994.  Thus, GTSSS began by “holding Gospel in one hand and bread in the other hand” - training, equipping, sending out missionaries, and planting churches. At the same time, GTSSS began reaching out to orphans, lepers, and other needy people by showing them the love of Christ as their Eternal Hope.

What we believe (Statement of Faith):-

1.   We believe the Bible, as originally given, to be without error.  It is the fully inspired and infallible word of God, and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

2.   We believe that there is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (commonly known as the Holy Trinity).

3.  We believe in the utter depravity of human nature, the necessity for repentance and regeneration, and the eternal doom of the finally impenitent.

4.   We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension, abiding intercession, second coming, and millennial reign upon earth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5.    We believe in justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Christ.

6.   We believe that salvation is only through the precious blood of Jesus, through His grace by faith.  Salvation is a free gift.  (So, any person can receive salvation by believing the Gospel of Jesus, confessing his sins with his mouth, and receiving Jesus into his heart by faith.)

7.   We believe in the nine gifts of the Holy Ghost for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the church, which is the body of Christ.

8.   We believe in and practice two sacraments: 1) Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

9.   We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures.

10.  We believe in church government by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders and deacons.

11.  We believe that the Gospel embraces the needs of the whole man; and that the church is therefore commissioned to preach the Gospel to the world, and to fulfill a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical needs of mankind.

12.  We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory.

13.  We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgment of the world - the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous, and the eternal conscious punishment of the wicked.
